The cuvée Vieilles Vignes (Old Vines) is one of the top blends of this chateau, featuring handpicked Grenache and Syrah vines aged 45 years. The wine represents the terroir at its finest. It has a dark and intense red colour. The nose is rich with hints of black fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrants and cherry, along with subtle hints of licorice and spices. The mouth is soft and fruity and has an amazing long finish. The tannins are soft and elegant.
This wine is a great choice to enjoy now, but it can also be aged for a few years to achieve an even more refined taste.

Description
Château de Lancyre is an 80-hectare family-run estate located in the heart of the Pic Saint Loup. The vineyards are situated at an average elevation of 150 meters and are divided between a number of hillside plots on mainly limestone soils. The estate’s terroir is set at the crossroads between the Mediterranean and the Cevennes mountains and enjoys two pronounced influences: a warm, damp climate rising off the sea which contrasts with the dry, cold air originating from the mountains. Nestled amidst the garrigue, the grape varieties that thrive there are: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Carignan for the reds and rosés, and Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Carignan Blanc and Vermentino for the whites.
