Rouge Mas Cristine 2020
Red Wine / France / Roussillon / AOP Côtes du Roussillon / 14,5 % vol.
Julian Grill, the winemaker, performed really well for this Grenache-Syrah-Carignan blend grown on different types of soils, including slate, clay and quartz. The wine is aged for 60% in oak barrels. On the nose, classical notes of spice and oak are accompanied by an explosion of red fruits such as blueberry and raspberry. Upon tasting, these fruit flavors are balanced by soft tannins and a delightful salinity on the finish that perfectly reflects the terroir’s unique character. This wine is not only a treat for the palate but also incredibly easy to drink, making it almost impossible to resist opening a second bottle.
