This Chardonnay hails from clay-limestone hillsides with 15 to 20-year-old vines. It’s vinified and aged on lees in 500-liter barrels, stirred regularly for 8 to 10 months. The result? A refreshing white wine, aromatic and lively, with a rich texture from lees aging. Located in Alaigne, within the Malepère appellation, the Girard estate covers 30 hectares, benefiting from altitude, a Mediterranean micro-climate, and oceanic influence. Philippe and Jean-François Girard, continuing a four-generation tradition, prioritize terroir, quality, and a “zero herbicide” approach.
